Eco & Fair

While our designs are handprinted by us using vegan water-based ink, our clothing suppliers are committed to manufacturing ethically, with respect for the people and the planet. Our clothing comes from certified ethical and sustainable manufactures: Earth Positive® (from the Continental Clothing Co.) and Stanley/Stella.

Learn more about our suppliers and their certifications below:

● Earth Positive:

Earth Positive® holds one of the most progressive sustainable clothing on earth. Their clothing is made in manufacturing facilities powered by green renewable energy, from low-impact raw materials. The carbon footprint of EarthPositive® products has been reduced by some 90% and the calculations were certified under the PAS2050 standard by the UK Carbon Trust.

100% of the EarthPositive® production undergoes annual audits to comply with the FWF Code of Labour Practices in accordance with the International Labour Organisation’s conventions.

The Earth Positive® Climate Neutral clothing:

The carbon footprint (CO2e) is the total carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and other greenhouse gases emitted during the whole textile production.

Our climate neutral t-shirts from EarthPositive® had their carbon footprint reduced by around 90% through a combination of innovative product design, low impact organic agriculture, efficiency in manufacturing, and by replacing standard grid electricity with renewable wind power.

It has been calculated that a single EarthPositive® T-shirt saves around 7 kilograms of CO2e compared to a conventional T-shirt, whereas a hooded sweatshirt saves up to 28 kgs.

Having taken the greenhouse gas emissions to pre-industrial levels, all the EarthPositive® products carry the registered mark “Climate Neutral”.

● Stanley/Stella:

Based on respect. Stanley/Stella believes that fair trade and sustainable development are natural: respecting your skin with soft materials; respecting the men and women who make your clothes with dignified working conditions; and respecting the world that we live in by limiting our impact on the environment.

100% of the cotton used by Stanley/Stella is organic certified by GOTS, that is to say, grown without the use of chemical pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Using organic cotton does not just mean that no hazardous or toxic substances have been used in the fields. It also means a safe environment for farmers and their families, avoiding any kind of pesticide poisoning which can lead to multiple health problems or even death.

The below certifications are regarding our clothing suppliers Continental Clothing Co. and Stanley/Stella only. Please note that Woman of Vegan is not certified by the following certifications.
